Hubbards Sister - Flour + Feed Sack Pants | 1940s | fits S-M

$235.00

two sister sacks from the 1940s, reunited and made into one very special pair of pants!

made from two original 100 lb. cotton sacks from the Hubbard Milling Company of Mankato, Minnesota. one side features Mother Hubbard Flour, with its charming illustration of a woman baking, surrounded by a bold red and blue circular logo. the other features Hubbard's Sunshine, a beautifully detailed multicolored farm scene framed in deep blue lettering.

what makes this pair especially wonderful are the extra markings! the faded red W.A. WERNER stencil across one leg and the black Brown Bros. Tobacco Co., Wellsburg, W. Va. marking on the other add another layer of mystery and history. these markings give the pants a truly one-of-a-kind character, with evidence of the different lives these textiles lived before becoming something new.

designed with a comfortable elastic waist and an easy, wide-leg silhouette. The original typography, illustrated logos, aged cotton, and perfectly imperfect markings make these wearable pieces of history.
