made from two original Bull Brand feed sacks produced by Maritime Milling Co. Inc. out of South Buffalo, New York. both sacks are BB All Mash Starter & Growing Ration — vitamized with cod liver oil, milk sugar feed, and dried buttermilk. same company, two printings.
the NRA eagle stamp on the back sack dates it precisely to between 1933 and 1935, the only years the National Recovery Administration existed. these aren't estimated vintage. they're documented.
the cotton has aged to a soft natural cream with green and grey print remaining. two mends by me are part of the garment now. elastic waist, wide leg, easy drape.
